Florini's oil paintings and cut-paper works will be on display in this child-friendly, solo show from March 1st to April 2nd. "In this exhibit, I hope to show part of my artistic process -- how I translate one subject in a variety of ways with paints, paper and ink." Along with Florini's most recent collection of landscapes done in oil, the exhibit includes several cut-paper prints shown by invitation at the John Joseph Moakley United States Federal Court House in Boston, Massachusetts. A closing reception will be held for the artist on Saturday, April 2nd from 2pm to 4pm. Tea will be served and all are welcome. "The Beverly Farms Twelve" is a group of local artists brought together by Farms resident Valerie McCaffrey to benefit the library directly through sales of fine art. Margie Florini is a partner at Beach Street Studios located above The Beach Street Café at 33 Beach Street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. Florini to Exhibit in National Juried Art Show - Midland, Texas |

| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Florini to Exhibit in National Juried Art Show - Midland, Texas March 3 - April 3, 2005 Beverly resident, Margie Florini might not be traveling much these days but her painting sure is! One of Florini's larger landscapes called, "Early Morning Lupine", a 30X36 inch oil on linen, is going cross-country to Midland, Texas. It was selected by juror Ann Armstrong (artist, instructor and nationally-acclaimed sculptor based in Houston, Texas) to be exhibited in The Museum of the Southwest. This juried, national event is hosted by the Midland Arts Association each spring and welcomes entries from across the United States. "My painting is special because it expresses memories of the Maine coast, complete with a variety of lupine in the quiet morning dew, says Florini. "I like to imagine that it was selected in Texas because of the lupine, too. "Texas Bluebonnets", they call them, made famous by Lady Bird Johnson who planted the dry, sandy Texas soil with a different cultivar, lupinus subcarnosus, planted as a ground-cover crop. I have driven through Texas a few times, but I have yet to see this beautiful blue flower in bloom out there. Someday!" For now, Florini is content to know that "Early Morning Lupine" is being seen by Texans and international visitors to The Museum of the Southwest for the month of March. Margie Florini is a partner at Beach Street Studios located above The Beach Street Café at 33 Beach Street in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.
